box milk glass blue

           This is a gorgeous vintage dish with lid cover, Vallerystahl and Porteiux dates from 1908-1914. Medium Blue it was made in three colors, caramel, light blue and medium blue.

Blue milk glass, with carved sea shells and oysters. Conch shell top finial, beaded edge, three smiling dolphins for the feet. Glowing opalescent edge bowl measures 5 3/4"tall x 5 1/8" diameter across beaded edge.

This piece is as close to flawless as you could expect for it's age. Three (3) piece mold, this mold was bought later by Westmoreland, but it is said that their dolphins do no have a 'Smiling' face and the shell line is not continuous.
